Just wondering if anyone knows if there are many folk from Caithness been selected as volunteers at the olympic Games?

Forget volunteers... Has any unemployed person actually got a paid job in these times of high unemployment out of the Olympics or is this just another case of those with the money already lining their pockets a bit more deeply whilst they get volunteers to do the actual work for nothing?

Did not know that Caithness had been moved to SE England, as that is the only way that anyone would get selected, unless of course you are related to Cameron/Clegg/Coe/Windsors

some of the bus drivers have been chosen to drive buses for the olympics so yer we will be part of them

That is nonsense and a very narrow minded attitude. I know of one person who has been selected and no, they are not related to anyone of any note!

I lived less than half a mile from an Olympic Village at a previous Olympics. We had a guided tour of the village and a free food and drinks reception to make up for the sportsmen disturbing our lives for a few weeks!
