Why did we never get weather days when I was a child? I seem to have missed out on something.

I suppose it may depend upon your age but even 30 years ago we had "weather days" usually several during the winter. :o) :o)

But then us neep dockers usually got a few more days off than the can kickers. [lol] [lol]

Guess I'm a can-kicker! Don't remember getting one day off, but then at my age memory becomes fuddled..................
Do remember the school being almost empty when the neep-dockers didn't get in - that was good days cos we didn't get any work and got to take games and comics to school.
