The RWE website could be a good place to start
http://www.rwe.com/web/cms/en/310868/rwe-innogy/sites/wind-onshore/united-kingdom/in-operation/local-community/

I only took a cursory glance at it though

If it is funding for a Project then I think you may be looking for info on the Halkirk & District Benefit Fund.

See http://www.halkirkdistrictbenefitfund.org.uk for more info

We have wind today and they are hardly turning again. I see them from my window each day unlike the residents of Halkirk- so why they get the cash is beyond me.

Hover the mouse over the site to see the live production data
http://www.rwe.com/web/cms/en/206488/rwe-innogy/sites/production-data-live/rwe-renewable-energy-live/

I see it is only producing a fraction of its total capacity again

Thanks Wizzbang, I didn't know about that website. I have just looked at it a wee while ago and Causeymire was using 60kW of electricity but at the same time the 4491MW of wind energy that National grid has meters on was turning out only 54MW. Wind energy is the only source of electricity we use which can be effectively absent across the whole of the UK at the same time, and it often is, and we have no way of telling when it will happen. National Grid was expecting 269MW as I write, but it is only getting 55MW.

See http://www.halkirkdistrictbenefitfund.org.uk for more info

There are no contact details on the web site so it is difficult for any potential applicants to find out if their project can qualify.

Also there seems to be no up to date information Were there any grants in 2011? The information listed does not include everything mentioned on the other web site quoted above?

I'm not sure if this will help at all

http://www.oscr.org.uk/search-charity-register/charity-extract/?charitynumber=SC039254

It gives the trustees address near the top.

The page lists the charity income but doesn't mention if it is from the wind farm though.

1. The Trustees are all listed on the Home Page
2. You have to be a Member to apply for funding (Group or Individual living/based within the Benefit area) and these forms can be found on the Membership tab - contact and address details are on the form.
3. Grant Eligibility is in the Memorandum & Articles of Association (bit long winded but the information is there)

Once you are a Member you will get access to the Members Area where there is more information with regard to applications, etc.

Hope that helps

What does this have to do with the thread ????

It hasn't got anything to do with it, he is just using it as a jockey to get onto his soapbox again.
