Brilliant - that means mine will be here soon too - better keep the shed door shut now. Last year we forgot and had to leave it open until the chicks flew away again!

THEY HAVE ARRIVED TODAY! Shed door shut.

Mine back too, they have inspected the damage to their nest but so far no demolition or renovation.

Oh and I were wondering what had happened to the housemartins - they're two weeks late. I'll have to get the muddy corner of the garden ready and get the camera out.

Our lodgers have returned, cleaned out the nest and busy collecting new material!

Looks like ours finally managed to raise a brood, adults no longer doing a shuttle service to the nest but have been spotted passing food in the air, no doubt as soon as the wind goes round to a suitable direction they will be away south on their long migration, will miss them.
