I dropped my iPad yesterday, and the screen's all cracked and horrible.
Is there anyone in Wick who'll replace the glass front? (The LCD display is fine, just the glass bit that's cracked)
The glass front is called a digitalizer u can get them of ebay i think there about £40 but u have to watch what ure doing with them there glued and there is one antenna wire and another one that u can easy cut themwhen seperating the digitaliser

Yeah, i know it'd be quite difficult to do without breaking it, that's why I'd rather pay someone to do it for me than do it myself.

I'll take your collective silence as a "no, nobody in Wick does this". Damn.
i'd do it but no absolute promise to it though
admit i've never done one, but 35yrs exp in tronics should see me fine!

Its a fiddly job but fine if you have the correct tools for splitting the glue and screen from the back plate.
i've watched a couple of videos and i cannot see anything thats no diff from doing lappy screens
get the new screen & a pack of metal clips and bring it around.

Hmm, the actual part seems kinda expensive to buy.. I think it'd be cheaper to just send it off and get it repaired.
the part is £20-£40 off ebay
there are companies in the uk that will do the job + 12mts warranty for £105.
