Did anyone see this programme last night?

I caught the last few minutes where someone was divining for bodies and then saw some decomposing bodies lying all around the place.
Apparently the bodies had been donated to them and many were people who their families hated!!! Certainly save on funeral expenses!

I'm intrigued to know what it was all about so could someone enlighten me please?

It is all in the name of Police forensic investigation. In the US many forensic departments have access to the "body farm" where bodies are allowed to lie in various differing conditions and situations to help them understand the investigation of homicides etc. by decomposition, effect of nature on buried bodies and so forth.

The crime books of Patricia Cornwall (if I recall correctly) were based on her experiences in a job at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner of Virginia.

Thanks Madpict

I thought it was something to do with forensics but wasn't sure to what extent.
