Thurso man swore and sang soccer songs

A FAR NORTH football fan could be the first in the area to face a prolonged match ban after he admitted rowdy behaviour on a Highland train.Sheriff Andrew Berry said he was confident he would be entitled to impose the ban on Thurso man Graham Smith (18) travelling to and from games, after he admitted threatening or abusive behaviour, during an Inverness-Wick rail trip, on February 14.
Smith, of Strathy House, Thurso, was involved in shouting, swearing, and singing soccer songs, loudly. His case was continued, at Wick Sheriff Court today, until April 27, when a co-accused, Stuart McCracken (42) of Whitefield House, Thurso, is expected to plead to the charge.
The pair were charged under the Criminal Justice and Licensing (Scotland) Act of 2010.
