Would anyone know if the burial records for THURSO CEMETERY are on line?

Can`t answer that, but the cemetery department for the whole of highland council, based in Inverness are extremely helpful and can probably point you in the right direction.

When I went to visit Thurso cemetery, the workers there (gardeners / gravediggers?) were fabulous! They showed me the lair records and let me take notes from them, took me straight to the graves I was interested in and even gave me a cup of tea! Maybe I was just lucky, but I was most impressed and grateful.

Goes to show you. There are decent folk in Thurso. I always found this to be true when ever I was in Thurso.

Are you a member of Caithness Family History Society? If so they have the records of the 1st cemetery in Thurso in their collection. This was done by a lady (now sadly deceased) who researched the graves as a hobby. Unfortunately as far as I am aware there a no records on line.
