that sounds great, it will be nice to see the lights switched on at night and get the full effect - will there be any new ones this year? I liked the blue and white ones across the bridge last year. It will also be nice that the lights are on for the fun day on saturday 2nd - keep up the good work!

How come the blue tree lights were on earlier today? A few times now that I have seen them. Are they testing them out or just leaving them on?

Think it was just testing and starting to put up the various lights

Takes a few weeks to put up alongside all their normal work

I look forward to seeing the town resplendent with it's Chrimbo Lights. All the council workers and TTIA bods really do a wonderful job in making the town pretty for the festive season. Please know that it is very much appreciated! :D

Do the lights go on at half past 6, or does the singing etc start in the square at half past 6?

Lights will go on fairly sharp at just after half 6 for safety reasons
Then there will be singing from local primary school kids and Caithness & Sutherland Choir and music from Pentland Brass Band

The old Victoria Wines shop will be open for face painting, candy floss, lucky dip etc throughout
