A wee plug for the Lyth Arts Centre (not an official one; just my experienced opinion) for those of you who have not yet visited this oasis in the Caithness countryside.

The art exhibition period is during June, July and August and is open to all to enjoy before you have coffee/tea and some delicious home baking in the peaceful dining room or out on the verandah.

Become a member and you have an invitation to the opening party and private showing at the beginning of the season. You can attend all the exhibitions etc., in its beautiful surroundings and get prior notification and discounted tickets of shows which go on before and after the exhibition.

As a non-member you are still very welcome and can enjoy all of the above with the exception of the opening night and discounted tickets.

You can book a wedding, birthday party or any family celebration (when shows, exhibitions etc., allow) and enjoy a wonderful setting with a personal and experienced touch.

Do have a look at the above link to get a feel of this lovely place and to see the slides at the beginning which show the many aspects of this oasis out in the countryside.

That's a grand place to go in Caithness- we really enjoyed our visit there last year and will not miss it on our next trip up. :)
