Assault and bad behaviour denied following custody appearance
A THURSO man has denied charges of assault and abusive or threatening behaviour at a local hotel.
Jamie Lee Lewis (23) is alleged to have repeatedly punched Gary Cowie on his head, to his injury, at the Park Hotel, on Saturday, when he appeared from custody earlier today.
Lewis, of Heathfield Road, Thurso, was granted conditional bail by Honorary Sheriff Bob Silverwood, making his court debut after his recent appointment to the bench, and will return to court for his trial on June 19.
