LOG BUILDING COURSE

Dunnet Forestry Trust are holding a FREE log-scribing course
in Dunnet Forest under the instruction of
Dan Franklin (www.woodenways.com (http://www.woodenways.com)) who runs the
British Isles School of Log Builders

The course will start on Monday 11 June and there will be a limited number of
places available for students who must own their own chainsaw and
hold a certificate of competence for crosscutting and chainsaw maintenance.

This is an excellent opportunity to learn a new skill and those selected must be willing
to commit to working for up to three weeks (15 working days).
Lunch will be provided on all working days.

I could cross-post this to a couple of other fourms I know, if you're looking to fill these places - I bet there would be people willing to travel for this, especially as it's free.

Thanks for your offer to cross-post, that would be great. The CWA have also been advertising it for us and there are only two places left now.

It has proved very popular as this type of course is not offered free very often, it would normally cost hundreds of ££££. All made possible by very generous funding from the Caithness & North Sutherland Fund and the Caithness Environmental Fund.

Looks really good I wish you all the best with the project I am sure be lots of pictures taken so hopefully we will get to see some of them

We are keeping a photographic record of the build which will be on display in the Woodland Shelter when it is complete.
