Police carrying out investigation after triple car collision
THE two women who died in a road accident in Kirkwall have been named. They were Ann Stanger (64) and 65-year-old Moira Towers, both of Stromness.
They were fatally injury in a three-car collision on the Kirkwall-Stromness road near Sunnybank, Kirkwall, last night.
A third person involved, a 25-year-old man is being treated in Balfour Hospital for injuries which are serious but not life-threatening.
Road policing officers are carrying out an investigation at the accident scene which is closed to traffic but is expected to be reopened later tonight.
