Can't guarantee moonlight but the band will certainly serenade you

THINK BIG, they say, when planning a note-worthy enterprise and they don’t come any bigger in music terms than the Caithness Big Band.
The band has been booked by Caithness Chest and Heart Support Group for a gig at Wick’s Norseman Hotel on March 3.
Understandably, numbers are limited to allow for some dancing space so if you fancy it – and who wouldn’t – get your tickets now! These are available from group secretary, Marge Donaldson and her telephone number is Wick 605545. If she is not available, please leave a message on her answerphone with your number and she’ll get back to you.
With the band’s musical menu featuring nostalgic numbers by all-time greats, Glenn Miller, Count Basie and Duke Ellington, as well as modern pieces, those dancing shoes won’t be able to resist tripping the light fantastic.
Hopefully, the gig, which kicks off at 7.30pm, will boost the chest and heart support group’s fund which finances equipment for local surgeries and Caithness General Hospital. The group also acts as a mutual support forum for people who have experienced cardiac and chest problems.
