Hi,

I'd like to promote a new website specific to the Caithness Marine Mammal Medic team. It lets you see what we do and has reports of rescues we've been involved with. You can register and explore the website and use the forum to ask any questions.

It also has the contact number should anyone need to report a marine mammal stranding/rescue.

The link is www.the-lounge.org.uk/mmm/news.php (http://www.the-lounge.org.uk/mmm/news.php)

Medics, you want to add anything to this?

It looks good to me.
It is just a site in the making at the moment, but hopefully it will expand and explain what we do.
We hope you folks enjoy the site.
There is a chance to leave comments on the site in relation to anything or feel free to post in the forum.

Fantastic. Remember and keep us up to date on his progress.

I hope everyone else has a look at the site. I am looking forward to seeing it grow and grow. I just hope you aint planning on posting too many pictures of the medics, LOL I hate photos, unless I am the one taking them.

Thanks Moria - But it is not all fluffy. Here is the end result of pup we observed on a local breeding beach at the end of October when the weather was still quite warm and atracting walkers with dogs along with kids with quad bikes etc... which may have disturbed the mother into abandoning it - We can't be sure that this is the reason it died but would ask anyone around known pupping beaches just to take a little extra care in there given activities around the pupping season...
