does any one know if there is any one who can fix a broken laptop screen in the thurso/wick area? laptop screen is cracked :( if not will have to send away to get fixed.

Try Octane on here, he certainly knows his stuff.

They're actually pretty easy to replace, but make sure you're not screwed over, as for cost of parts it should be around £50-£120 depending on whether you want a third party replacement or an original factory model. Then just hourly rate on top of that which varies but £25-£75 seems to be the average for home stuff up here. It shouldn't take more than 1 or 2 hours to replace. Thirty minutes really.

You could try IT CAD Master on here. He is very helpful. knows his stuff and is not expensive.

Just be careful if you do it yourself - have just replaced mine on my Macbook Pro and now it wont turn on sp I have a whole now problem to troubleshoot... And I know what I am doing-or I thought I did :(

Mine was just a loose connection and is now working again. I take everything I said back - it's easy to do :)
