Is there an appetite for this yet , I think it's a great idea.So often we go to Inverness and go in an empty car, could there be a forum opened here for it?

Have you checked the small print on your Insurance Policy, you may find you are not covered for this type of trip, if not therefor neither will be your passenger.

I don't think it's making money. If I was to give a lift to my brother and he helped with petrol then what's the difference - Loads of people do car shares

This idea is already in operation via the web site we advertised for many months on the front page. See http://www.journeysharecaithness.co.uk
N (http://www.journeysharecaithness.co.uk/)ever heard from anyone if it works.

Also on the main road signs have been up for weeks about a scheme with a telephone number to contact. It centres on Lybster area.
