Wick teach Broch a lesson at the Academy of football

WICK ACADAMY’s assistant manager, Richard Hughes has praised the team that did a 3-1 demolition job on Fraserburgh at the weekend.
The Broch has always been a tough challenge but the Scorries were flying high on Saturday as they notched up an emphatic 3-1 victory.
Hughes said they were proud of the team’s scintillating display, at Bellslea Park, dominating the game yet leaving the field at the break, with only a one goal lead, to show for it.
He said it was difficult to single out individuals but commented on opening scorer Davie Allan’s skill, speed and strength throughout.
A woeful Fraserburgh boss, Kris Hunter said he had not seen such a poor performance by his players since he came back into the job, to the extent that he couldn’t award any of them a pass mark, other than young John Chalmers who came on 10 minutes for time.
Hunter said: “Too many players just decided to have a bad day and not to do their jobs properly and you can’t do that against a good side like Wick. They could easily have scored a few more goals, given their first half performance. Their midfield three ran the show while up front, Davie Allan was a constant threat.”
Wick’s other scorers were Stevie Cunningham and Richard Macadie.
