Hi just wondering if anyone can help, my soon to be 15 year old son has asked for a pit bike as a joint xmas birthday present, unfourtunatly being a girly and perfering shoes i know nothing about these at all, i have googled and there seems to be a lot of japanese imports which are cheaper but i would be worried about spare parts, does any one have any experiance with pit bikes if so what makes would you recomend. Oh just in case anyone is wondering Brother is a gamekeeper so we have access to plenty of land for riding so we wont be letting him annoy dog walkers ext.

I think it's the Chinese ones you have to watch. Anything from the Japanese factories (Kawasaki, Honda, Yamaha or Suzuki) will be well-made- but maybe 3 times the price- erk!

Be vary wary - I think these were on Watchdog this week. Some company which imports them has been selling customers really dangerous Chinese rip-off versions.
