Wick accused alleged to have claimed he was God offering youngster baptism

A WICK man is alleged to have acosted a nine-year-old boy in the town saying he was God and offering to baptise him.
James Mackay, of 5 Hillhead Road, Wick, appeared from custody at the town’s sheriff court, today and denied two charges of breach of the peace.
He is accused of having committed the first offence in Bexley Terrace, Wick, on February 6.
Mackay is also alleged to have conducted himself in a disorderly manner, later the same day, when he is alleged to have stood in the roadway, at The Shore, in the town, waving his arms and forcing traffic to drive round him, repeatedly shouting he was Jesus.
Mackay (44) was remanded in custody pending his trial on March 14.
