Jellytastic! Vote For Caithness Horizons To Win The National Connect10 Museums at Night Competition
Caithness Horizons needs your help. A recent application to Culture24 (http://www.facebook.com/culture24)'s Connect10 competition to bring dedicated jellymonger heroes and contemporary artists Bompas & Parr (http://www.culture24.org.uk/places%20to%20go/museums%20at%20night/art372038) (www.jellymongers.co.uk (http://www.jellymongers.co.uk)) to Thurso has beaten off fierce competition from other museums and galleries throughout the UK to the final round and public vote!
The competition is now down to just Caithness Horizons, the SS Great Britain (http://www.culture24.org.uk/sw000008) in Bristol and Belgrave Hall Museum and Gardens (http://www.culture24.org.uk/em000069) in Leicester. In order to fly the flag for Caithness and the Highlands of Scotland we need the public’s help to enable us to get these amazing artists, who create spectacular culinary experiences ranging from architectural jellies to lakes of cocktails to build a replica of the sphere of the Dounreay Fast Reactor in jelly at the Museum during the weekend of the 18th to 20th May 2012.
Bompas & Parr were named by the Independent newspaper as “one of the 15 people who will define the future of arts in Britain”.
