Dounreay worker "critical but stable" in Aberdeen hospital

DOUNREAY worker Kevin Morrice was yesterday said to be in intensive care in hospital following a two-car accident at Murkle on Monday.
He was a passenger in a Volkswagen Golf which veered off the road and demolished a phone box.
Mr Morrice, who was in the back seat, was taken to Caithness General Hospital at Wick, with driver Grant Anderson and front seat passenger Gordon Macleod, both of whom play for Caithness Rugby Club’s first XV. Mr Anderson sustained shoulder, jaw and head injuries while Mr Macleod suffered whiplash and concussion.
Mr Morrice, of Miller Avenue, Wick, was transferred to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. His condition was yesterday described as “critical but stable”.
The occupants of the other car involved, a Honda Civic, were uninjured. The road was closed for seven hours but diversions were in place.
Police have appealed for witnesses to the accident.
