tonkatojo's thread interested me so I had a look and found this (http://www.firehouse.com/forums/showthread.php?105422-Dangers-of-Solar-Panels) It's a warning to firefighters but should also be of interest to homeowners who had them fitted. To be honest I thought everyone knew once energised the panels shouldn't be interfered with.

I found that one too but the posts started in 2008. Of course, maybe the same advice still stands. I hope the firemen know the rights and wrongs of it all! ;)

I've just phoned the electrician and they are coming next week to remove my solar panels, I am very worried about this.

The article linked to in the OP reminds me of the claim that solar electricity is dangerous because it comes from the sun - which is powered by the same mechanism that makes thermonuclear weapons so deadly!
