Car crashed into phone box and wall
TWO people sustained head injuries after the car they were travelling in crashed into a phone box and a wall on the Thurso-Castletown road at Murkle.
The pair were taken to Caithness General Hospital, at Wick. The A836 was closed as police investigations were carried out and diversions were in place for a time.
Earlier in the day, an elderly man was taken to hospital after being struck by a car in Thurso’s Princes Street, opposite the railway station.
