I hope Scotland is independant before we are told we must help pay for the under pinning of Westminster,s Big Ben. The cost would be formidable.

Probably not as formidable as the Scottish parliment white elephant.
I hope we are never independant.

I hope we can get through one week without another spurious Independence discussion cropping up where all people do is recite their prejudices and existing opinions and nothing changes. I think it's become a ritual at this point.

Stop panicking! "Professor John Burland of Imperial College said the lean should not be a big worry for at least "10,000 years".

Would Tesco's opening hours be affected by independence?

And what I wanna know is, if we do go independent and nause up the Union, who gets lumbered with Wales? Us or Them?? :Razz

I'm not normally so pedantic, but, I hope, the SNP are willing to sustain a high level of education in our country once the subsidies are gone.

Have we really got to the stage that we're correcting grammar and spelling. In my experience it's usually what people target when they don't want to, or can't argue.

Depending on the context, a rhetorical question may be punctuated by a question mark (?), full stop (.), or exclamation mark (!)

I blame the Scots.

Big Ben is clearly flinching away in pain from the blatant stereotype flaunting itself underneath...

Piratelassie - you managed to totally misquote my quote! I was not the one who mentioned Scotland being subsidised, I was merely joining in the fun by correcting the spelling of "Westminster's" in the quote made by "the one". And yes, I am inclined to be pedantic but only in my head; I do manage to restrain myself most of the time.
