Heavy snow showers forecast, possibly at low level
ALL roads in the Northern Constabulary area are open however, some roads in the Badenoch, Wester Ross and Sutherland areas in particular, are affected by ice and a light covering of snow.
A Met Office Yellow Alert remains in place for the majority of mainland areas and the overnight forecast includes frequent and heavy snow showers, particularly over the higher routes, possibly even to low levels which may cause some disruption to travel. There is also a significant risk of ice and drivers should exercise extra caution and drive according to the prevailing conditions.
