Far North MSP warns against an increase in price

LIQUIFIED natural gas used to heat homes in north and west Scotland will be transported from a site in England when a depot in Lanarkshire closes, according to a BBC report.
The National Grid is to shut a large storage facility at Glenmavis.
The move will see tankers travel from south west England to deliver gas to Wick, Thurso, Oban and Campbeltown.
The Scottish government said it was aware of National Grid's decision and had been assured there was "no risk" to supplies.
Caithness, Sutherland and Ross MSP Rob Gibson has warned the move should not mean an increase in costs for customers.
A Scottish government spokesman said: "Through our work with energy network operators and providers to maintain and enhance the resilience of the sector, we are aware of National Grid Gas' decision to close Glenmavis.
"Scotland Gas Networks, who operate the liquefied natural gas storage sites in Wick, Thurso, Oban and Campbeltown, state that there is no risk to security of supply.
"We will continue to monitor the situation and work with Scotland Gas Networks until longer term options for supply are evaluated."
