Northern Constabulary trace crash witness
POLICE have named the driver who died in a road accident near Thurso, on Friday night.
He was Stewart Herbert Milnes from Reay, who was 26.
Mr Milnes’s car left the road on a sweeping bend about a mile and a half west of the town. It struck a stone dyke before ending up at the roadside.
The road was closed for some hours as police carried out an investigation. Their report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal at Wick.
Officers have traced a witness, the driver of a white Renault van who discovered the accident and reported it to the police.
