their not back in action yet, there is a bus running instead(which if your going to take add time onto your journey) not sure how long they will be stopped for but i think it could be a while because the track was left in a such bad way after the floods,

Have a look at the pics on the Org Home page, by the looks of it, It could be a while. There seems a fair bit of damage at Bilbster

I was down at Inverness on Saturday, and I could see that the raiway line was completely undermined in one area (around Golspie). By the look of it I think it will take some time to repair.

Inverness to Wick/Thurso and Kyle of Lochalsh services

Please note that following a landslip in the Dingwall area, a revised service will operate from Monday 30th October until further notice affecting services between Inverness, Kyle of Lochalsh, Wick and Thurso. Passengers travelling from stations on these lines to Inverness for Southbound connections should note that due to the alterations to services, connections at Inverness cannot be guaranteed.

A train service will operate between Inverness and Dingwall, departing Inverness at the following times; 0714, 0853, 1052, 1144, 1433, 1703, 1815, 1925 & 2039. From Dingwall to Inverness departing at 0750, 1007, 1155, 1400, 1620, 1743, 1936, 2004 & 2225.

A train service will also operate from Garve to Kyle of Lochalsh departing Garve at 1010 & 1935, and from Strathcarron to Kyle of Lochalsh at 1310. From Kyle of Lochalsh, trains to Garve will depart at 0725 & 1648, and to Strathcarron at 1159.

Passengers travelling from Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh should travel on the bus replacement services from Inverness to Garve at 0853 & 1815, or to Strathcarron at 1052. These buses will run direct to Dingwall, then forward to Garve or Strathcarron to connect into train service. Buses will connect into trains arriving at Garve or Strathcarron from Kyle of Lochalsh and will run direct to Dingwall, then call at stations to Inverness to set down only.

Replacement buses will operate from Dingwall to Wick via Thurso. Passengers from Inverness should travel on the train services to Dingwall departing Inverness at 0714, 1052 & 1815 to connect into a forwarding bus connection to Wick. Buses will operate from Wick via Thurso to Inverness, departing from Wick at 0622, 1237 & 1552 and will run all stops to Dingwall, then call at stations to Inverness to set down only. Please note due to access difficulties, the bus cannot call at the following stations; Kildonan, Kinbrace, Forsinard and Scotscalder. A taxi service will operate from Wick to and from Helmsdale via these stations, for passengers to connect into the bus at Helmsdale for Inverness. There is currently no replacement service for Altnabreac station.

Buses will also run to and from Inverness for the following services. Bus services from Inverness running direct to Dingwall then all stops to destination, buses to Inverness all stops to Dingwall, then set down only to Inverness;

1144 Inverness to Tain, 1433 Inverness to Invergordon & 2039 Inverness to Tain.

0635 Lairg to Inverness, 1035 Invergordon to Inverness, 1257 Tain to Inverness, 1533 Invergordon to Inverness, 1916 Ardgay to Inverness & 2150 Tain to Inverness.

Passengers for stations to Ardgay can also board the 1703 train service from Inverness to Dingwall for a forwarding bus connection.
