Pretty sure it is a glaucous gull. Very similar to an Iceland gull but a bit bigger.Nice photo.

Last Friday I saw one of the so called white winged gulls, an adult, flying among Herring Gulls.
Without black wing tips, it stood out like a sore thumb. To me it appeared to be the same size as the Herring Gulls so I think it was a Glaucous rather than an Iceland Gull.
This was seen from the car park above Longberry, out past the South Head, Wick. They were following the coast heading south.
