This appeal is listed in the "What's On Today" on the front page of the org. Specially devised for anyone wanting a little fresh air and exercise along with like-minded people; bring your own flask! Many people use the forest and appreciate what the team do for us.

Starts: 10:00 Ends: 13:00
Come along to help us re-open the paths that have been damaged and blocked by the recent high winds. We have an enormous clear up job to do which will last for months but hope that with some volunteer effort we can at least have all the paths open for the new year. Please dress for the weather and bring any bow saws and loppers you may have. All welcome to join for as long or short a time as you can offer. No skills required and much of the work will be light lifting so you don't have to be super fit either. Please also bring a flask as we will stop for a tea break.
The office is staffed part time and so email is the best way to contact us. We may also be out in the forest - try us on 07770697711.
Location: Dunnet Forest - meet at log sale car park

Thanks Torvaig,
the forest had a lot of help this morning and quite a lot of paths were cleared for walkers. The storms have brought down a lot of trees and destroyed some of the main pathways, the central avenue is still blocked and will be for a while yet but we are making progress- slow but sure. Most of the cross paths are clear so are the bridle and bike paths. A big thank you to everyone that turned out to help it's greatly appreciated by the Forest!
Many hands make light work.
