Police trace driver after collision in Wick
A 51-year-old man has been arrested in connection with alleged drink driving and other offences following a road traffic collision in Wick at 14:45 yesterday (29 December 2011).
The vehicle he was driving was collided with a car being driven by an 81-year-old male at the roundabout outside Mackay's Hotel in Wick. The car then left the scene and was traced by police at an address in Keiss. The elderly male was not injured as a result of the collision.
The 51-year-old man was arrested at his home address and reported to the procurator fiscal in connection with the above offences.
He is expected to appear at Wick Sherriff Court in due course.
