Forty-four-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene
THE man who died in a Halkirk street early yesterday has been named as Neil MacIntosh.
Paramedics were called out about 4.30am but the 44-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mr Macintosh had been out socialising with friends on Thursday evening and was returning to his home in Bishops Court, off Church Street, when tragedy struck.
An offshore oil rig electrician, Mr Macintosh had not worked for some time due to illness. He is survived by a son and daughter.
A police investigation into the sudden death is continuing and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
