red bird nets

just received my rspb winter booklet and read a interesting article about bird feeders,the little red nut nets that you can buy and the fat balls that you can get in a net are not very safe for our birdies,they can get trapped in the soft netting,beaks tongue and heads can get fast in them.

tomorrow is bird feeding day so get to lidl and buy a feeder and seed and help our lovely feathered friends.

i buy thistle seeds and have a following of goldfinches which are so beautiful.

I like to feed the birds too, but my cat is too good at hunting, so i am better to leave it to my neighbour.

I had 2 ring necked doves tapping on the window for a long time, now i have 14. I'm sure they keep watch for me, they know when I get up and when I come home, and are always there. they cost me a fortune!!!
