Wick Market Square Council Offices

I've just read that the offices in Wick are being upgraded to house all local departments.

Whilst a good idea in principle, I couldn't believe the price tag!

£8,500,000 !!!!

It must be a long time since we've had that much investment in a single project in the area?

I don't think these austerity measures are thought through. If they're supposed to be so many civil servants getting sacked why bother spending so much on a place to put 'em!
