It's not that. Every time you disconnect the battery you have to input the radio code, but I had it stored on my last computer that crashed taking everything with it. I also wrote it on the V5 but forgot all about it when i moved so lost that as well.

Hi this might be of help
The Security codes are meant to be different for each individual radio, so you need the code for your specific unit. If the original owner didn't keep a note of it you'll have to get it through Daimler Chrysler. Just give them the serial number of your radio (you may need to do this through your local Jeep dealer).

J & G Sutherland (now J & G Sutherland & Spraytech) had a contact who would supply radio codes for all makes of vehicles (for a fee of course), but not sure if that's still the case... worth a call though: 01847 831208

or try: www.instant-radio-code.co.uk/ or http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/items/__jeep+radio+codes_W0QQ_dmdZ2?clk_rvr_id=296015444 816&crlp=2633764581_284591_284611&UA=%3F*O%3F&GUID=23b0858c1340a5ab8333c473ffdff83b&agid=707940041&tm_kw=jeep+radio+codes&siteid=3&MT_ID=11&tt_encode=raw&keyword=jeep+radio+codes&geo_id=21&ff4=284591_284611
