wax in carpet?

Hi orgers we have had a wee accident where candle wax has ended up on our living room carpet and whatever we try we cant seem to shift it all...has anyone got any miracle or old time cure for this? The carpet is a short pile wool mix.....any help gratefully accepted

Brown paper or even kitchen roll,place over the wax stain and iron with a warm iron,repeat until it has all been removed,best to use different paper each time so as none is transferred back accidentaly x

Thanks loads John Little,Thumper and kodiak for your reply's.....on the safety side of things i don't trust myself with a hot implement ( my excuse and i'm sticking to it ) i will pass these on to my wife who has her class1 hot iron handling certificate ;)
