Does anyone know how to change the keyboard settings on a laptop?

This keyboard is a U.S. one so doesn't have the pound sign

In control panel , regional and language folder (XP) you will be able to select language and keyboard there. :o)

I was trying to change the settings in Control panel:\Keyboards

Its logical I suppose?
