Update on the winds due....
By lunch time tomorrow the winds will be seriously building up from the SW, gusting to around 85mph ish in exposed areas, by tea time we could have a slight lull if the centre of the low passes straight over us and then the winds will very quickly turn to coming from the N and then by about midnight head back to coming from the NW still gusting in the region of 80mph. I think the Northerly wind will be the strongest possibly gusting up to 100mph in the exposed coastal areas and higher ground.
It will ease off slightly in the early hours of friday morning but stay very strong, gusting over 50mph until about friday tea time.
I think to begin with we will get rain or sleet with the wind, but the closer friday gets the more the falling stuff will turn white!
