Thurso to Inverness - what like the roads?

Anyone been to Inverness the day and what like is the road? Any parts to watch out for. Noticed the webcams are not working on the usual sites.

where abouts was that? in caithness or further down on your travels?
i passed two cars in the ditch between keiss and wick today.
that slush is alot more dangerous than snow or ice.......

I went to Inverness today, roads had a fair covering going down this morning but were driveable. Coming back early evening they were mostly clear with occasional patches of slush.

I go up via wick in morning an down via thurso at night. In the morning lot of black ice with snow an pools of water,the water makes you believe its just wet,bad drifting at top of berrie braes,cuasimire was bad wi ice when temp drops. fresh snow on top of slush. BE CAREFULL. if you must travel proceed with great caution an expect the unexpected.
