Mmm, not sure how much of that is true, especially when they cant get basic facts like Iceland being in the EU right.

Another good reason why Iceland should be in the news.http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-15995845katla already had a small eruption in the summer. This article is exaggerating the effects of an impending bigger eruption although it is conceivable we may see some effects locally of a big katla eruption being only 500 miles away. There are much bigger and violent volcanoes erupting now. Mexico, ecuador, indonesia etc. Potentially others soon too that don't receive the hype like reported here. If you want to know what is going on Iceland re seismic and volcanic activity, here is a blog I follow closely.http://www.jonfr.com/volcano/?p=1877

You never see any old people in coverage of Iceland. I think they have some kind of secret 'Logan's Run' type of society.

So I'm definity not going there!

Thanks for the link roadbowler but found the fractured english a little hard!
Was discusing this with a friend of mine who lives in Rekyavik and the locals are some what concerned about Katla but to date they have not recieved any warnings about the likelyhood of an immediate erruption although that volcano is being heavily monitored.

Sorry Dog-eared if the thread wandered from your original link and I quite agree that a few more folk should stand up and be counted over the current financial mess.
When are you organising a march on Westminster?

I was thinking that the complexities of the beurocracy in the British establishment wouldnt allow for such a revolution to happen here. That plus the determination of those in power to keep it.

Plus the Icelander Gov. basically gave up, said its a fair cop, can't see that happening here either.
