Some routes affected by snow and ice

Due to the prevailing wintry conditions a number of routes are affected by snow and ice, in particular;
A9 at Helmsdale
A835 Ullapool to Dingwall road
A82 North of Ft William to Spean Bridge 2" to 3" of snow and lying on the surface with heavy snow still falling . South of Ft William to Glencoe 1" to 2" of snow lying and still falling.
A830 FT William to Mallaig.
A82 Spean Bridge to Newtonmore.
A939 Nairn to Grantown (Dava) road
A86 remains limited to single carriageway at Laggan due to floodwater
Motorists are reminded to take extra care and leave plenty time for their journey
Further snow and low temperatures are forecast for the remainder of the day and overnight. If travelling, drivers are advised to ensure that both they and their vehicle are suitably equipped and prepared for changeable wintry weather, to exercise caution and drive according to the prevailing weather and road conditions.
