What a great song for the festive season that is sung beautifully by the Military Wives Choir, I think it could be a Christmas number one. Good luck girls and I hope you raise lots of money.

Youtube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0hR6O7VxKaQ&feature=share) here.
Money raised is going to the Royal British Legion and the Soldier Sailors and Airmans Family Association.
I wish Gareth and the girls every success.

It's good to see that they did so well, but I watched them on the Graham Norton show and the lead singer had changed,:confused I liked the lass with the tatoos best.

Does anyone know why they changed?

Everyone deserves some time off, the choir was only going to be a slight time filler, the record was a chance to raise some money - but understand she has been getting "facebook hate about her tattoos" ontop of being shoved into the instant star status of being the lead singer of such a prestigious group.
I imagine it must be extremely difficult to carry on as normal when you are being recognised everywhere, as all the money raised from this recording is going to forces charities she does not have the money to 'retreat and hide', life has to go on and her family life continues as before.
Very difficult to juggle the demands of family life and appearing all over the UK.

Sam had pre-booked a holiday before the song ever became a hit. She's a busy Mum, homemaker and wife. The Choir and its members have had to be very flexible in order to try and attend the variety of events demanded of it, so you might not see the same ladies at every event. The Choir facebook page is here (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Samantha-Stevenson-Wherever-You-Are-We-Love-You/333371193358356#!/MilitaryWivesChoir) and has over 41.000 followers. There's even a Facebook page in support of Sam here (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Samantha-Stevenson-Wherever-You-Are-We-Love-You/333371193358356).
IMO the ladies make a refreshing change from the pop drivel we've been subject to in recent times. I'm sure their song will endure. Its about people who are apart and love each other. It applies not only to soldiers but to a variety of couples who are seperated because of their work.

Thank you both for that information, although I've heard it played many times on the radio I have only seen them on the TV twice, (both times with Sam as the lead singer). Apart from her beautiful voice I thought she was an extremely attractive girl in a very unusual way and when I'd heard they where performing on the Graham Norton show I was looking forward to her singing it.

I do hope they don't become the victims of there own success.

I have only seen them on the TV twice,

As with Gareth Malone's other Choir Series you'll be able to order the DVD 'Series Four; Military Wives' from Amazon next month.

I do hope they don't become the victims of their own success.

Me too; since military wives tend to move with their husbands every two/three years we can only speculate what kind of choir will evolve. It would be good if many more garrisons/stations etc. had choirs.
