Santa will bring some Christmas cheer to the Norseman
SANTA CLAUS is taking an unusual Christmas box with him when he arrives at Wick's Norseman hotel for his annual rendezvous with local children.
It’s for his musical helper who is no chicken in terms of age, not surprising as he has been playing carols and other seasonal pieces for Father Christmas, for quite a few years.
He’ll be playing some seasonal tunes between 10am-12 noon, while Father Christmas is having a chat with the kids. Mum and dad can shrug off the shivers from our inclement weather, with a hot cup of coffee and a piece of shortbread, before a heart-warming open fire. Youngsters, who are queuing to see the most important man in town, can enjoy a soft drink or have their face painted.
The festive occasion, which includes a baking stall and handmade Christmas cards, is being organised by Caithness Chest and Heart Support Group who act as a social platform for people before and after their operations and use the funds they raise, locally, to purchase medical equipment for local surgeries and Caithness General Hospital.
