Fisherman alleged to have kicked
and punched victim in Popeye's

A FRASERBUGH fisherman is to stand trial at Wick Sheriff Court in the
New Year on a charge of serious assault.
Shaun Brigham, of 53a Broad Street, Fraserburgh, pleaded not guilty
when he appeared from custody, today.
The charge alleges he assaulted Colin Creelman in Popeye’s Bar, at
Scrabster, knocked him to the ground, repeatedly punched and kicked
him, and stamped on his head, to his injury.
Honorary Sheriff Bruce de Wert granted 44-year-old Brigham bail, “with
considerable hesitation”, to enable him to rejoin his boat at
Fraserburgh tomorrow.
Conditions imposed, ban the accused from approaching Mr Creelman and
the bar staff.
Brigham will return to the court for his trial, on January 19.
