FINALLY!!!!! our liquor stores in Ontario are carrying the Old Pulteney 12 yr Highland Single Malts!!!! - in their Vintages area of the LCBO.

Further more, the Toronto Star Newspaper carried a small article on the Old Pulteney on October 14.

I quote " In the top tier for value were Old Pulteney 12 yr Old Highland Single Malt $60.95, 90 out of 100. A smooth mellow style with nice smoke peat, vanilla and Carmela infusions. "

the article further went on the describe this whiskey as "elegant"

I am off to the LCBO - as only 12 bottles are available here. :)

Canuck - I'm well impressed - this is a nice little retail side-line you've got going here. How on earth did you manage to get all these bottles through Customs? Did you have inside help from Golach? ;)

OOPPPS -- my apologies... We are never sure here, we add an "e" to accomodate our southern friends and remove an "e" while in Canada. Check out the LCBO advertisement for becoming part of the Whisky generation - cleverly hidden - is our political correctness in adding an "e" freely

I will only use the word scotch from now on or single malt, as is the current trend in Canada just now.

I think that Malcolmdog and I both yammered on to the people at the LCBO often and long enough that someone broke down and ordered a few cases of the nectar. As to WBG and his holdall he must have stashed his other case somewhere between Glasgow and Caithness. Maybe it was Christmas presents he was taking back, but he bought out several stores in Toronto.
