RIP Jimmy, one of Entertainments characters, he will be missed.

He will be missed by many, remember seeing him at Fort William games a few times.
Years ago I looked after an elderly lady who lived up Glen Coe, his next door neighbour, always called in on her and was a very normal guy she said.
When he discovered she had broken her leg - middle of winter, roads blocked etc, he ensured there were folk popping in to keep her fire on and food in the house, he phoned several times whilst she was in my care to ensure she had everything required.
I used to volunteer at Stoke Mandeville Hospital many years ago - he was a volunteer there too, he certainly raised the spirits and talked to the many people with spinal injuries in a very practical and sensible manner which they appreciated. After talking to Jimmy many of the folk became more accepting of their injuries and then started to accept they could have a full life. He always had a light hearted comment to brighten up everyone.
Jimmy will be remembered by many.
