Cannabis was for home consumption court hears.

POLICE raided a house in a Caithness village after a package was delivered and discovered it contained cannabis resin.
It led to Richard Shepherd and Jennifer Duffus being charged with being concerned in the supply of the Class B drug.
Shepherd and Duffus were living at a house in Fountain Cottages at the time when Royal Mail made the delivery, on December 2. Officers, who entered the premises, observed Shepherd holding the package which was subsequently found to contain four bars of the drug weighing half a kilo.
It would have commanded a figure of £1,700 had it been supplied in quarter oz. street deals, senior fiscal depute, David Barclay told the court..
Shepherd admitted the offence at Wick Sheriff Court today, but a plea of not guilty in respect of Duffus was accepted, by Mr Barclay and she left the dock.
Solicitor George Mather said that that there would have been a considerable discount for buying in bulk and added: “I understand that is the cheapest way of doing it.”
Shepherd had found himself with some ready cash from selling a car and purchased the cannabis. Both he and his partner had been heavy users of the drug since their teens.
Mr Mather said that his understanding of the street value of the cannabis was just over £1, 080, but stressed that there had been no question of the consignment being used for profit by onward selling and underlined the distinction between personal use and commercial gain.
Sheriff Andrew Berry continued the case until November 21 when he will see background reports.
Shepherd (21) whose present address was given as Saltoun Street, Wick, was allowed bail.
