There's only one left:

10.How many times did Muhammad Ali regain the world heavyweight title?

Twice:
Once against George Foreman -- The Rumble in the Jungle;
Once against Leon Spinks.

He held the title three times, so he regained it twice.

Guess who was an Ali fan as a kid? But it's a bit embarrassing now.

Well, there was only one question left unanswered when I started that post! And the answer to question 5 is indeed the Bee Gees and not Tom Jones [lol]

Thanks for giving everyone else a chance to have a shot. :D

I think you're all missing the obvious with question 13. Surely the correct answer is 'pair'.

Pair of trousers, pair of jeans, pair of binoculars, pair of scissors.

Dogfish belong to the Shark family. I would have thought that Jaws would have been on the ball with that one!! :)

Can't they just walk along the bottom and stick their heads out of the water? Maybe they never actually *need* to swim!

I thought i better check up on the answer for question 7,
7. Thomas Edison patents the electric lightbulb what year?
the answer i had was 1879.
But after Tristan had said he applied for patent in 1880, which was invalidated in 1883, then he finally got validation in 1889.
So i thought i better look into this further

Electric Lights.
application date Oct 14th 1878
issued on April 22nd 1879

Apparatus for electric lights

Giraffes CANNOT swim!! Let's face it have you ever seen one wearing goggles. Seriously though they would topple over and drown very quickly.
Only 8 lanes in an olympic pool, fastest qualifier swims from lane 4 in the final.

I thought the question was for the light-bulb itself, which in my humble opinion concerned the encasement of the filament in a near-perfect vacuum, which was the patent (no. 223,898 for anyone who really cares) I was referring to.

You are correct that Edison had patents for electrical light apparatuses (apparati?) in 1879, but as these mostly referred to improvements in the method of conduction, not the bulb itself, I didn't think that was the answer the question was looking for. My apologies if I was mistaken!
