I thought I'd recommend Holistic pet supplies in Halkirk, The lady has just started suppling various frozen dog meats and other doggy treats, its all natural with no added chemicals and cheap too, I can feed my 2 dogs for £1 a day.

There was a thread on here a few months ago about feeding dogs raw meat and bone (barf diet), the availability of frozen dog meat in Caithness, and the benefits and pitfalls. http://forum.caithness.org/showthread.php?t=12775
As a result of that discussion Isobel at Holistic pet supplies managed to get a supplier to deliver this far north.(she said she'll be updating her website soon).
Personally I feed my dogs tripe, ox heart, breast of lamb, chicken wings and fruit and veg.

dragonfly they look fine and healthy, nothing wrong with complete, but the barf does imo improve there well being, you only have to offer the two meals at the same time to see which one the dogs prefer!

google BARF and read up on it, a lot of the top showing fraternity are changing to it, and the working/racing dog owners have been using it for years.

People say they're not sure if they trust barf diet, maybe we should ask what our granparents fed their dogs, there probably isn't much difference.

what sort of raw meat do you give to your dog. i live on a shooting estate and some parts of the stags and hinds that dont go to the dealer left over, ie, tongues, tripe, plucks and legs. do you find you have to introduce it slowly as my dogs got a pluck the other day, but i think they had too much at once and were feeling a bit stuffed. and it is quite rich and they were a bit sick

all that sounds fine, add to it some meaty bones and your there.

venison isnt the best meat but is still good, due to it being lower in fat and protein, but still a lot better than what you would get out of a tin.

also worth noting that you need to feed less when on a barf diet not the same size servings as you would complete etc.
